On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, the eleventh edition of the EPFL Alumni Garden Party was held at the Domaine de Bois Chamblard in Buchillon (VD). This annual event brings together the Gold contributing members of EPFL Alumni and the School’s Presidency in a friendly and exclusive setting.
This edition marked a symbolic turning point, as it was the first under the Presidency of Anna Fontcuberta i Morral. After a welcome address by Leïla Ojjeh, Director of EPFL Alumni, the new President shared with the nearly 70 guests her reflections on her first six months at the head of EPFL, as well as the major challenges and goals that will shape her mandate in education, research, and innovation.
Guests then discovered two flagship projects led by the EPFL community:

A roundtable discussion titled “Made in EPFL – How does EPFL support its future entrepreneurs?” featuring Edouard Bugnion, Vice President for Innovation and Impact; Lara Gervaise (BSc MT’19), co-founder of Virtuosis AI; and Blaze Aziz Belkhiria (MSc MT’23), co-founder & CEO of DPhi Space, Project MAKE.
The event concluded with remarks from Michaël Thémans, Delegate of the President – Director of Executive Affairs and Development at EPFL. The evening ended with a cocktail reception in the park.
