Sustainability Club and Round Table “Which Career Choices in the Face of Today’s Challenges?”
The first edition of the EPFL Sustainability Days took place from 5 to 7 March 2026 on campus, under the theme “Innovating and Acting for a Sustainable Future.” The programme included conferences, round-table discussions, workshops, science cafés and discovery stands, open to the EPFL community and the general public. The event also marked the official launch of the EPFL Alumni Sustainability Club.
As part of this, EPFL Alumni organised a round-table discussion on the question: “What career choices face us in light of current challenges?”. Two alumni shared their thoughts: Victor Cannilla (IF’16), a PhD student in international relations and environmental policy at the University of Lausanne (Unil), and Yves Loerincik (PhD SIE’06), Strategic Projects Officer for Sustainable Economy at the Cantonal Office for Sustainability and Climate of the Canton of Vaud. The discussion was moderated by Agnès Le Tiec, Head of Department at EPFL Sustainability, and the evening continued with a networking reception.
This event also marked the official launch of the EPFL Alumni Sustainability Club. The club aims to bring together alumni interested in sustainability issues, facilitate networking and organise events related to these topics.
