On July 21, 2022, more than 40 EPFL graduates visited the Docteur Gab's brewery in Puidoux. For about 15 of them, it was even their first EPFL Alumni event with the Vaud-Valais Chapter.

The group was welcomed by Reto Engler, co-founder and co-owner of the brewery, and himself an EPFL graduate in Environmental Sciences and Engineering . A brief introduction relating the history of Doctor Gab's opened the event: the brewery celebrated in 2021 its 20 years of existence and moved to its current site in 2018 to be able to produce more than 20'000 hectoliters of beer. The group then had the opportunity to visit the whole brewery and discover how a beer is prepared as well as its ingredients (water also has its importance in the composition!).

The event ended with a tasting of all the beers of the house - and Doctor Gab's offers a great variety! - with notes and comments from Reto Engler.
