On March 20, 2025, a group of 25 participants took part in an architectural tour of the Musée Cantonal des Beaux-Arts (MCBA) in Lausanne. Guided by Anne Chantal Rufer (from Ville en Tête and Alumni AR'09), the visitors discovered the history and context of the birth of this emblematic building, designed as part of the Plateforme 10 project. The architect explained the urban planning and architectural choices that shaped the museum, in particular its strategic location near the train station and its integration into the cultural hub. Emphasis was placed on sober materials, uncluttered volumes and natural light to enhance the works on display. The visit enabled participants to appreciate the way in which the MCBA dialogues with its environment, offering a space that is both functional and inspiring. The event ended with a networking aperitif and lively exchanges in the MCBA bar.
