For our event on October 25, 2022, we gave you the choice to join us for a guided tour of an old bourgeois house in Basel and/or for a convivial dinner.

During the tour, our guide, dressed in a historical outfit, led us through an old bourgeois residence in Basel, giving details about the inhabitants who built it, the Sarasin family. They were wealthy merchants and producers of silk fabrics (a typical Swiss trade) who left their mark on the city in many places. The mansions we visited, the blue house and the white house, built between 1762 and 1769, were an integral part of that history.

To conclude, we met again around a convivial supper in the center of the city.

All in all, an interesting event even for those who already knew Basel well.
