Your dedicated EPFL Alumni Vaud-Valais branch is looking forward to welcoming you to its next networking aperitif, on Tuesday June 3. It's going to be a special Lavaux wine tasting edition! We'll be honored to have the Caveau des Vignerons de Cully reserved for our branch. Situated on the lakeside, just a few steps from the Cully train station, in the shadow of the Place d'Armes, the view over the Lavaux vineyards is breathtaking. Entirely devoted to wine tasting, the Caveau des Vignerons is the traditional and warm place to share and discover the wines of Lavaux.
This week's winemaker, Jean-Daniel Porta, will welcome us to taste and talk about his wines from Villette, in the heart of Lavaux. The tasting will be accompanied by a platter of charcuterie and tommes vaudoises.

Presentation of the Domaine de Jean-Daniel Porta - Vigneron et Encaveur à Villette Lavaux
In the mosaic of vineyards and villages of Lavaux, our family business grows the vines, raises the wine, then sells it directly to you. Our philosophy is to take care of every stage of production to offer you quality wines. We make varietal wines, because they have their own character: in each one, you'll taste the fruit of the grape and rediscover the purity of the variety. In the range of wines traditionally grown in the region, you can choose from several Chasselas, Œil de Perdrix and Pinot Noir. Specialties include a Pinot Gris, a sweet wine called “La Faveur du Temps”, a Plant-Robert and a Merlot.
To strengthen ties within the EPFL Alumni network, the monthly aperitifs of the Vaud-Valais chapter take place on the first Tuesday of each month, usually in the Lausanne area. The calendar of all our events can be found here.
