The EPFL Alumni, chapter Vaud-Valais invites you to visit the CPPS (Earthquake Prevention Educational Center), organisation of the HES-Valais-Wallis on Thursday 18 avril 2024.
The canton of Valais prepares for the Big One
"The end of a crisis depends on its management". This quote is particularly relevant to earthquakes, as they occur without warning.
What should we do if the earth suddenly begins to tremble beneath our feet? The CPPS gives us the opportunity to learn more about the phenomenon of earthquakes through hands-on experiments. Experience an earthquake on a simulator and learn the reflexes to adopt during and in the minutes following an earthquake.

Registration for the tour will be open until April 17, 2024.
The event is subject to a fee and includes a training by professionals and an aperitif.
