SPECIAL EVENT

Your Vaud-Valais chapter invites you to its networking event on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at EPFL (room CM1 105) in Lausanne-Ecublens. This will be a special session where we will delve into the essentials of communication!

Our speaker for this special event is Amy Carroll, a Swiss-American coach, trainer, speaker, author and founder of Carroll Communication Coaching with over 30 years of experience in human behaviour and communication.

During this interactive session, she will help us understand how the way we communicate, not just what we say, plays a key role in how power and influence are negotiated across our relationships. This dynamic, known as the Invisible Power Game™, can often drive communication breakdowns more than conflicting goals, perspectives or personalities. Subtly and unconsciously, we signal who holds control and who does not.

Using the Predator, Prey or Partner® model, developed by Pat Kirkland,  Amy will invite us to become more aware of our own behaviours and explore how we can consciously choose a more partnership-based approach.

To participate more actively in this learning experience, participants will receive some material to explore beforehand, including reading and videos to watch. During the session, we will take part in interactive exercises and have the opportunity to put the concepts into practice. At the end of the workshop, participants will also receive a hard copy of Amy's book The Ego Tango.

The goal? To replace unnecessary power struggles with greater respect, trust and collaboration, and to become more effective and efficient in the interactions that matter to us, while improving satisfaction, honesty and morale. Ultimately, we will learn and practise how to build stronger relationships and achieve better results, both professionally and personally.
