Last Friday, October 6th, we were pleased to invite Ghita Mezzour, Morocco’s Minister Delegate in Charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Alumni Award 2023 and EPFL alumna for the Campus Lecture. The theme was "Unlocking Morocco's Digital Potential: Towards an Innovative and Inclusive Growth".
The conference was a success and the event was sold out!
Morocco has made of the digital one of the levers of its socio-economic development. Its ambition is to become a digital champion, by offering a competitive digital economy ecosystem, and by setting up suitable infrastructure and training its youth in the latest technologies to become a producing country and exporting of innovative solutions.
The Moroccan Minister of Digital Transition and Administration Reform and EPFL laureate, Dr Ghita Mezzour, detailed the means implemented by the Moroccan government to take advantage of its potential to become an essential destination for investment and digital production.
Dr Ghita Mezzour is the Moroccan Minister in charge of Digital Transition and Administration Reform. Prior to her appointment, she worked as an entrepreneur and as an academic on developing digital solutions that have strong socio-economic impact. She holds a PhD from Carnegie Mellon University and a master’s and a bachelor’s from EPFL. Dr Mezzour has received multiple international awards for her work.
