Tuesday, July 9, 2024, marked the tenth edition of the EPFL Alumni Garden Party, an annual event held at the Domaine de Bois Chamblard in Buchillon (VD), bringing together EPFL Alumni Gold Contributors and the School's Presidency. Nearly 70 people attended this year's event.
The reception began with a few welcome words from Leïla Ojjeh, Director of EPFL Alumni, and a speech by EPFL President Martin Vetterli. Guests were introduced to the new Double Deck architectural project: a brand-new learning center at the heart of the campus, on the Esplanade and Coupole levels. The project was presented by architect Dominique Perrault, accompanied by Pierre Dillenbourg, EPFL associate vice-president for education, and Aude Chigard, EPFL microtechnology student and AGEPoly member. The event closed with a word from Michaël Thémans, Director of EPFL's Development Office. Also present was EPFL professor and president-elect Anna Fontcuberta i Morral, who will take office at the beginning of 2025.
The evening ended with a cocktail reception for our guests. See you in 2025 for the eleventh edition!
