EPFL Beijing Alumni Chapter warmly invite you to join their autumn event: a group visit to the exhibition “Cosmos Archaeology: Exploring Time and Space".

About the Exhibition  

Co-hosted by the Embassy of Switzerland in China, the National Museum of China, and EPFL, with support from Tsinghua University’s Department of Astronomy and Academy of Arts & Design, "Cosmic Archaeology: Exploring Time and Space" opened on July 2, 2025.  

Initiated by EPFL Laboratory for Experimental Museology and Astrophysics Laboratory (LASTRO), and brought to China by Swissnex, China as well as the significant contributions from Tsinghua University, the exhibition covers four sections:  

1). Instruments & Technologies: Mapping the Cosmos 2). Big Data in the Starry Sky 3). Sustainable Space Exploration 4). Future: Journey to the Planets

Blending science and art, the exhibition transforms cosmic data into immersive experiences through digital installations, interactive displays, kinetic sculptures, and innovative design.

10h00: Gathering at the National Museum of China

10h15: Guided group tour of the exhibition

12h30: End of group tour and free exploration of other museum exhibits  

Remarks

  • Exhibition ticket 30 RMB (self-paid on-site)
  • Guide fee: Additional cost (self-paid on site)
  • Family members are also warmly welcomed (adults and children)
  • A number of free exhibitions at the National Museum are open for exploration after the tour 
  • Bring your own food/water as needed
