Save the Date - Women in Formula 1
Organized by the EPFL Alumni Women’s Club in partnership with EPFL Alumni, this roundtable offers a structured discussion on the place of women in Formula 1 — a field that represents cutting-edge engineering, high performance and technological excellence, yet where women remain significantly underrepresented.
The event will take place on April 27 at 18:00 on the EPFL. It will feature leading figures from the F1 ecosystem, including:
- Mattia Binotto, EPFL engineer, currently Head of Audi F1 Project: Audi officially enters the FIA Formula 1 World Championship in 2026
- Laura Villars, racing driver, entrepreneur and the first woman to run for the FIA presidency in 2025
The panel will address educational, physical and systemic barriers affecting women’s entry and progression in the sport, as well as the role of media, sponsors and audiences in shaping representation.
Following the discussion, participants will discover the new EPFL Racing Team car in preview and join an exclusive guided tour of their workshops and laboratories.
