"Finding Your Leadership Style" - Roundtable discussion
On Monday 10th November, the EPFL Alumni Women Club has organized an event in Zürich in collaboration with Regus on : "Finding Your Leadership Style" and brought together alumnae from different professionals horizon to share on leadership experiences.
During this inspiring exchange, the panelists explored key questions:
How did they find or develop a leadership style that truly fits them?
What contexts, people, or opportunities influenced their journey?
What does leadership mean to them today — whether people, technical, or thought leadership?
What role did mentoring or coaching play along the way?
What advice would they give to other women reflecting on their positioning and professional growth?

Caroline Portal (EMBA ’23, MSc Communication Systems ’02)
Technology and Business Transformation Leader
With a career spanning over two decades, Caroline has led complex transformation programs and redefined digital strategies across international organizations in the luxury and consulting industries. Previously IT Director at La Prairie, she is now leveraging her experience to shape the next generation of digital leadership initiatives. She also contributes to the community as Co-Lead and Speaker Coach at TEDxZurich.
Céline Jaeger (Microengineering ’03)
Executive Leader in Sales, Marketing & International Growth
With over 20 years of international experience across high-tech and life sciences sectors, Céline has built and led commercial and marketing teams, guiding organizations through key transformation phases. Formerly Chief Revenue Officer at bNovate Technologies, she’s passionate about people and purpose-driven leadership.
Liliya Dorodnitsyna (MSc Financial Engineering ’13)
Model Validation Lead and Senior Quantitative Analyst, Director
Liliya leads model risk and compliance within the Corporate Credit Risk department at UBS, overseeing teams of quantitative analysts across multiple countries. With a solid foundation in mathematics and financial engineering, she brings a unique perspective on analytical leadership, resilience, and navigating complex transitions in the financial industry.
