We were more than 50 alumni and alumnae to join the visit of the Vaudoise Arena as well as the aperitif in the VIP zone of the Lausanne Hockey-Club (LHC) on December 20, 2022. The EPFL Alumni VD-VS would like to thank Mrs. Jacqueline de Blasio and her colleague for showing us the inside of the Vaudoise Arena.

During the aperitif, we had the chance to welcome the 2 co-founders of Bearmind (Mathieu Falbriard PhD EL'20 and Tom Bertrand GC'16), an EPFL start-up that has developed a technology allowing the prevention of brain injuries in the form of a sensor placed in the helmets of players. The LHC is one of the Swiss National League clubs that is sponsoring the project. The idea of the start-up is to try to extend their project to other international field hockey leagues (including NHL), and then to other sports.

Then we attended the field hockey match between LHC and SC Berne where the Lions finally won by 5-2.
