On May 22, 2019, around thirty alumni from the Luxembourg chapter discovered Next Gate Capital, a Luxembourg investment fund, co-founded by Dimitri Huwyler in 2016, which evolved into a Fintech in 2019. Dimitri is a double alumnus from EPFL with a Master in Communication Systems in 2012 and a Master in Financial Engineering in 2018.
Dimitri and his co-founder, Davide Martucci, shared their experiences in creating an investment fund and a tech company. They talked about the impact of alternative data and machine learning in the world of finance as well as automation in the Luxembourg financial market industry. The presentation of the company was followed by a networking cocktail.
