On Wednesday 15 February, the EPFL Alumni Association Eastern Switzerland visited the aircraft maintenance hangars of the company SR Technics at Zurich airport. We were able to see how aircraft components such as landing gear tyres and engines are dismantled, repaired, tested and certified. The visit ended in the large hangars where part of the maintenance of the Swiss airline's Airbus A220 (ex Bombardier C-Series) and Boeing 777 aircraft is carried out.
