On Saturday November 23, 2024, the BE-FR-NE-JU chapter visited the Mont Terri underground laboratory in Saint-Ursanne. The laboratory focuses on two areas of research: deep geological storage of radioactive waste, using Opalinus clay as the host rock, and geological storage of CO2, with Opalinus clay as the “caprock”.
