Conference summary
“This conference will take a look at the powers of science fiction for thinking about sustainability and our relationship with the living. In this context, utopia is neither simply a compass nor a representation of the ideal city, but rather a way of looking at our world, its political communities and its environments, from unprecedented perspectives that are radically different and inaccessible outside fiction. Taking detours through what isn't real allows us to question our ways of living, thinking and, above all, to allow ourselves to imagine what could be.”
