EPFL Alumni, EPFL Startup Launchpad and Venturelab are delighted to announce the 14th edition of the Startup Champions Seed Night at the Forum Rolex on EPFL campus on Thursday, April 10, 2025!

This annual event brings together some of the most promising entrepreneurs from EPFL and beyond. Get ready for an engaging and dynamic evening, featuring live 90-second pitches from innovative startups and vote for your favorite one! The event will be conducted in English.

Before the pitch competition, you will have the chance to explore startup exhibitions and connect with the founders in an informal setting. After the pitches, continue the conversation over an aperitif, where you can exchange ideas with entrepreneurs, angel investors, mentors, and scientists, and engage in discussions about the latest innovations.

Keynote : Vincent Delattre, ONWARD Medical SA Vincent Delattre, an EPFL alumnus, is the co-founder of ONWARD Medical SA, a medical technology company developing innovative therapies to restore movement, function and independence for people with spinal cord injury. With the introduction of ARCEX, the first approved non-invasive spinal cord stimulation system, ONWARD enables personalized functional rehabilitation and improves quality of life for the SCI community. 	Azure Cell  Therapies - Bilal Fares	Leveraging 18 years of research at the University of Geneva, 8 million in grant funding, and a portfolio of 5 patents, Azure Cell Therapies are developing the next generation of regenerative stem cell based therapies for Parkinson’s disease that are scalable, safe and of long-lasting sustained effects.
	Badger -  Roberto Trivelli	Badger is a mobile-first digital loyalty platform designed for SMEs in quick service F&B. It helps them strengthen their customer relationships, improve engagement, and communicate more effectively with the right audiences.
	Bioscibex -  Eva Quinto	Bioscibex are developping a bioreactor for biopharmaceutical companies (such as Roche, Sanofi, etc.) to simplify the production process for biological drugs, considerably reducing the number of process steps from 7 to just 2. Their USP is the fact that they are able to perform cell culture from 30 mL to 30 L within one single, closed system.
	Digehealth -  Nour Ghalia Abassi	DigeHealth is revolutionizing post-operative care with a wearable device that uses acoustic biomarkers to monitor bowel activity, enabling earlier detection of complications like post-operative ileus. Their solution reduces hospital stays, improves outcomes, and enhances patient recovery.
	Dyneo -  Maël Perret	District heating and cooling is a strategic technology for global decarbonization, and operators are facing increasing pressure to reduce their carbon footprint. Dyneo provides a data-driven technology to enhance the efficiency of these assets while boosting the integration of renewables.
	Ex Nunc  Intelligence SA - Kyriaki Bongard	Ex Nunc Intelligence SA is transforming the legal field with an AI-powered platform that streamlines legal tasks for professionals. By offering an advanced legal assistant and unique tools, they enhance access to legal knowledge, driving efficiency and improving connections between legal experts and clients.
	Focus Technology - Amin Debabeche	Classical loupes constrain users to maintain a precise distance to their object. Focus Technology invented the dynamic surgical loupe providing an autofocus and freeing up the distance constraints bringing non-negligible flexibility during surgeries ultimately increasing productivity.
	Healium -  Moncef Assa	Healium is a health-tech startup simplifying and securing self-medication. Their flagship product, Medicase, is a smart, connected pill dispenser that ensures accurate dosage at the right time and provides real-time monitoring for healthcare providers to improve patient treatment adherence.
	Hikane -  Antoine Perrin	Hikane offers a solution to help visually impaired individuals understand their environment through touch, using a simple and intuitive haptic device that can be attached to any type of white cane.
	Humbrela  - Semchs Zaidi	Humbrela simplifies insurance for brokers and clients with an all-in-one platform. Using AI-driven insights, it streamlines policy management, enhances communication, and delivers personalized services. Their mission: make insurance simpler, smarter, and more efficient for everyone.
	Inkocell Therapeutics - Mathieu Girardin	Cancer treatments have strong cardiotoxic effects. An injured heart will progressively lose function, leading to heart failure. Inkocell Therapeutics have developed a cell-based therapy that specifically eliminates cells that give the progressive nature of the heart condition. Their treatment halts the disease's progression, which promotes heart function recovery.
	Juvion Life Sciences - Soumya Banerjee	Aging and diseases like Sarcopenia often lead to mobility decline due to deteriorating neuron-muscle communication. Juvion Life Sciences combines neuroscience expertise with a proprietary in vivo platform to develop next-generation therapeutics that stabilize the motor system and prevent mobility decline.
	Luxtelligence - Mohammad Bereyhi	Luxtelligence provides integrated circuits for optical interconnects in datacentres using a novel material platform with a robust supply chain using a proprietary manufacturing technology.
	MobiLysis -  Manos Barmpounakis	MobiLysis delivers innovative urban mobility solutions by combining drone technology, AI-driven analytics, and privacy-compliant monitoring. Serving cities and planners, they optimize urban mobility addressing the growing global need for sustainable, data-driven transportation systems.
	MoleSense -  Gian Luca Barbruni	MoleSense is developing the first molecular maternity management wearable, addressing the $45B maternal care market. Their customers are high-risk pregnancy hospitals and they deliver real-time insights to improve outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance patient care. A game-changer in maternity health management.
	SaisiR - Claudia Bigoni	SaisiR responds to the need for effective and efficient solutions for severely impaired stroke patients (25M globally). It provides clinics and hospitals with non-invasive and personalized therapy via an AI-driven brain-computer interface. Current global spending for stroke rehabilitation is $250B.
	PAVE Space SA - Julie Böhning	Expending Earth industry to orbit by unlocking the next humanity potential: in-space logistics. PAVE Space mission is to develop autonomous and mobile spacecrafts equipped to handle large structure assembly, maintenance and logistic in space.
	Roofscapes -  Olivier Faber	Founded in 2021 at MIT by three EPFL architecture alumni, Roofscapes adapts cities to climate change by transforming rooftops into green and accessible spaces. Its replicable solutions reduce urban heat islands, create ecological corridors, store rainwater, and offer unprecedented shared spaces, at scale.
	Verretex -  Nour Halawani	Verretex restores upcycled fibers through advanced surface cleaning, ensuring high-quality reuse. Their process transforms glass fibers into premium non-woven materials, maximizing efficiency and sustainability. By repurposing waste, they support a circular economy, reduce environmental impact, and drive a greener future.
