The EPFL Alumni Group Basel is excited to invite you to an exclusive visit to Helvetiq, the creative publishing house behind some of Switzerland's most beloved board games—and much more!
Founded by fellow EPFL alumnus and 2024 Alumni Award holder Hadi Barkat, Helvetiq began in 2008 with a spark of inspiration during his Swiss citizenship test prep. What started as a hobby quickly evolved into a thriving company creating clever games, beautiful books, and unique experiences. From the bestselling Bandido to their Beer Hiking book series, Helvetiq now reaches players and readers in over 40 countries, with an ever-growing catalogue of award-winning creations.
During our visit to Helvetiq's Basel office, you will:
- Get a behind-the-scenes presentation of the company and its journey from idea to international success
- Enjoy an informal apéro with fellow alumni
- And, of course, play and discover some of Helvetiq’s latest and greatest games! We will namely have the chance to try out Odin, a game that won the French "As d'Or" this year.
