The EPFL Alumni Geneva is pleased to invite you to the conference entitled " Distributed Ledger Technologies/Blockchain: From the Backstage to the Forefront", which will take place on Monday 7 October at 6.30pm, followed by an aperitif. This conference is co-organised with IMD Alumni.


We are delighted to welcome two speakers with complementary backgrounds.
They will take it in turns to present their respective specialities.


Lamine Brahimi – Taurus Co-founder & MP - EPFL graduate
The Backstage: An acute and deep dive into a critical backend technology where blockchain is quietly powering secure, decentralized applications across industries.


Rani Jabban – Member of ArabBank Executive Committee and Digital Assets Early Adopter.
The Forefront: From legend to reality. A business case, refined over years, on how blockchain is disrupting multiple sectors, including finance (FinTech).



The presentation will be in English.
During the question and answer session, you will be able to interact with the speakers in your own language (French/English).

Lamine Brahimi

Lamine Brahimi, CFA is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Taurus SA. Prior to co-founding Taurus SA, Lamine was previously Deputy-COO, Chief Digital Officer of Lombard Odier’s wealth management unit as well as General Secretary of the Group. In his capacity as Chief Digital Officer, he spearheaded the design and development of Lombard Odier’s wealth management digital strategy leading to several critically acclaimed platforms in particular in relation to investment advisory.



Rani Jabban

Rani Jabban has over 30 years of experience in Capital Markets and Private Banking.

After starting his career in the treasury and forex department of Credit Agricole Indosuez Group, he joined Arab Bank (Switzerland) Ltd in 2009 as Head of Treasury.

Member of the executive Committee since 2015, he is responsible for Financial Institutions, Digital Assets and Marketing.



Panel Moderator : Ashish Singh - IMD MBA, IMD Geneva Alumni Club Committee Member. 

Ashish currently works as a Director of Change Governance at UBP Switzerland, leading several strategic initiatives for the bank. In his recent role within the leadership team at Alpian, he played a key part in creating, launching, and growing the digital bank.
