Conference : The Pursuit of Gravity. Discover the Secrets of one of the Fundamental Phenomena that Rule the Universe
Claudia de Rham (PH'01), alumna in Physics from EPFL, researcher and Professor at the Imperial College London, will share what we currently know about gravity and how her career path has led to her being considered one of the most influential researchers of the past decade in the world of fundamental physics.
Despite being one of the fundamental phenomena that rule the Universe, gravity still holds many secrets. If the modern physics world were able to one day reveal these secrets, it would be considered as one of the great major scientific breakthroughs. In her book, which will be published in French this September, Claudia de Rham, cosmologist and winner of an EPFL Alumni Awards in 2017, recounts what we currently know and how many great minds in physics have dedicated their work to the study of the phenomenon. She also shares some highs and lows from her career and the difficult road she took to become one of the most renowned physicists in the world.
She will be at EPFL on Monday 30th September to present her research, her book and her career.
