Bloom & Rise : 4-workshop sessions with Catherine Canales

Online
The registration deadline has expired.

This series of workshop will embark you on a journey aimed at nurturing your confidence and developing a thriving career. As a professional, multiple barriers can prevent us from exploiting our full potential, whether we are aware or not, yet this is not a fatality and we can develop skills to overcome those difficulties and take our development in our hands.

In the 4 proposed workshops, you will take on a journey of personal development, alongside fellow EPFL Alumnaes, learn about concepts, explore as a group, self-reflection between sessions (optional) and share your thoughts and feedback.

The topics are:

  1. Overcoming Imposter Syndrome, how to recognise and celebrate your achievement ? Imposter Syndrome is often described as the feeling of being a fraud or not qualified for the responsibilities we are entrusted with. To unlock one's potential, this kind of negative beliefs needs to be reframed and through a series of exercices we can transform our self-perception to match our achievements and qualifications.
  2. Strategic Self-Marketing, how to showcase your skills and value to employers ? Some of us function according to "the work speaks for itself" mantra, yet this is rarely showcasing your strengths, skills and goals. Through self-assessments, we can develop a unique and powerful value proposition and effective strategies to share them, in person or online.
  3. Negotiating for Success, how to ask for what you want and deserve at work ? When we have a better view on our achievements and can compellingly share them, the compensation negotiations or career development talks are the place to be our own best advocates. It is crucial to have a good preparation and leverage the best tactics, so that the needs and expectations are confidently presented and we are ready to handle the counteroffers gracefully, without dismissing our goals.
  4. Achieving Work-Life Balance, how to manage your time and energy for optimal well-being ? One universal fact is that we all have the same 24-hours and never ending to-do lists. To optimise our energy and well-being, let's review your current balance between work, life and all other topics to identify the areas  for improvement and elaborate a progressive plan towards reduced stress.
