Thanks to the very precious contacts of our alumnus Sebastiano Merzhagi (MT'10, PhD) with Pascal Meyer, the CEO of QoQa, we had the great pleasure to be welcomed in their new HQ in Bussigny on February 23rd, 2023.

After a visit of the very unusual and original premises we had the pleasure to be welcomed by the "feathered otter" Bertrand who told us the history of the company QoQa created about 12 years ago by Pascal Meyer.

For the record, the new HQ was also intended to house all of QoQa's logistics department. As Covid helped the company explode in terms of size and offerings, the former logistics center became too small. With their decision making agility, the company found a larger capacity logistics center outside and decided to build a QoQa brewery at the HQ in place of the logistics center, which is expected to open this year.

Bertrand also told us about the new culture of QoQa which aims at a new mode of governance within the company. QoQa's collaborators, called otters in their jargon, signed the Qonstitution last fall, meaning that decisions concerning the future of the company will be taken according to the roles of each team member, as well as by collective intelligence, as opposed to a "simple" hierarchical authority.

This new mode of operation, called Holacracy, required months of preparation and several steps that were carried out with the support of two specialized companies. This new governance should give rise to new major projects.... Be warned!

The evening ended with an aperitif-dinner where the participants were able to ask the questions that were burning their tongues and at the same time network with each other.
