Nexthink, a leader in digital experience management, is committed to supporting EPFL talent through four Master excellence fellowships. This donation highlights the strong connection between EPFL and the company's leadership team, which includes former students of the school.
Founded in 2019, EPFL's Student Support Program aims to ignite, attract, equip, and maintain young talent. Specifically, this includes social and excellence fellowships, interdisciplinary MAKE projects, and Coding Club for Girls, which offers programming courses to young girls. With over 3,000 beneficiaries to date, the program benefits from the support of the EPFL Alumni community, which has contributed 45% of the funds raised.
A recent example of this support is a generous donation from Nexthink, a global leader in digital experience management. The company helps organizations optimize digital workplaces by leveraging real-time analytics, automation, and employee feedback. This donation will fund four "Nexthink Master Excellence Scholarships," with the first set to be awarded in the 2025 academic year.
At the heart of this philanthropic gesture is a desire to invest in the next generation, as well as the strong bond Nexthink maintains with EPFL. CEO Pedro Bados was a student and researcher at the school, while co-founder and User Experience Officer Patrick Hertzog holds a degree in computer science. "Founded at EPFL, Nexthink owes much to this institution of excellence," says Patrick Hertzog. "This donation is our way of giving back - supporting brilliant minds, fostering innovation, and strengthening ties with the school."
This is not the first time Nexthink has supported EPFL activities: since 2023, it has partnered with the EPFL Alumni Women Club. Patrick Hertzog’s engagement is also reflected in this commitment: as an alumnus, he dedicates his personal time to the community. He also contributed to the steering committee of the EPFL Alumni digital platform project from 2020 to 2023 and is a member of the EPFL Alumni Council established in 2024. "Staying connected to EPFL enriches my professional life, and I am proud to be part of a global community of excellence and innovation," he concludes.
