About Metin Arditi
Nothing stops Metin Arditi. Just to mention the year 2024, his next novel, 'L’île de la Française' (published by Grasset, Paris), the 18th one, will be released this spring, followed by the film adaptation of his novel 'L'enfant qui mesurait le monde' in which he will have a role. And two books are already ready to be published in the next two years.
A graduate of EPFL in Physics (1968) and a Third Cycle in Atomic Engineering, holding an MBA from Stanford (1970), Metin Arditi began his career in atomic research, consulting, and then real estate entrepreneurship. Passionate about art and culture, he became a philanthropist and author in the 1990s. The thirty novels, essays, and plays he has published have been widely acclaimed by the public, translated into several languages, and awarded numerous prizes, including the Jean-Giono Prize for 'Le Turquetto' (2011), the Prix Méditerranée for 'L’enfant qui mesurait le monde', and the Prix Machiavel for 'Tu seras mon père'. He is a member of several literary juries and the Reading Committee of Grasset editions. In 2023, Metin Arditi received an Alumni Award from EPFL.
