Swiss Alumni Symposium at Osaka EXPO 2025
The ETH Alumni Chapters of Singapore and Japan are delighted to invite you to the Swiss Alumni Symposium at Expo 2025 Osaka, a three-day gathering for Swiss university alumni across Asia. The symposium will run Friday - Sunday, October 3rd to 5th, hosted at the Swiss Pavilion, World Expo Osaka, and Swissnex Japan in Osaka.

What to expect
- Fri, 3 Oct (Social Day @ Swissnex Japan, 16:00–22:00): Mini-talks from alumni + networking apéro.
- Sat, 4 Oct (Conference @ Swiss Pavilion, 09:00–21:00): Keynotes and panels on Sustainable Development Goals & Future Technologies, including Renewable Energy & Built Environment, Climate Tech & Water, The Future of Education, and AI & Cybersecurity, followed by an evening apéro.
- Sun, 5 Oct (Leisure Day, 10:00–18:00): Small-group excursions in Osaka/Kyoto, organised by alumni chapters.
This symposium will spotlight Swiss research and innovation, facilitate collaboration across Asia, and strengthen ties within the Swiss Alumni community. Expected attendance is 70 alumni from chapters worldwide and across the APAC region.
Participation & costs
- The participation fee is SGD 100 per person, which helps cover tickets for the Expo and meals during the programme.
- Please note that travel (flights and accommodation) is not included and will need to be arranged individually.
