🍂 A guided tour of the renowned autumn fair, mulled wine and good company

Join us for a special EPFL Alumni get-together at Basel’s beloved Herbstmesse! 🎡

As the days grow shorter and the autumn chill sets in, Basel comes alive with one of its most cherished traditions. We’ll discover the history and stories behind Switzerland’s oldest fair on a guided tour organised by Basel Tourism, exploring the lively fairgrounds and soaking up the irresistible aromas of roasted chestnuts, gingerbread and other seasonal treats.

Since we’re visiting on a Monday, we’re hoping to enjoy the Herbstmesse with a little less of the usual hustle and bustle. And even if you know the fair well, the guided tour promises plenty of fascinating stories, historical insights and little-known details that you might otherwise miss!

Language: Basel Tourism only offers the tour in German - but we will translate :)

After the tour, we’ll keep the evening going over a cup of warm mulled wine and a relaxed chat — a lovely opportunity to reconnect with fellow EPFL alumni, meet new people and enjoy the festive atmosphere together.
