Networking has become crucial these days. Did you know that about 70-80% of all jobs are found in the hidden market and are not filled through online advertisements? To tap into this market, networking and unsolicited approaches are essential.

Unfortunately, many job seekers get very little results from this. By networking cautiously and systematically, it is possible to easily validate the professional targets you aim for. Strengthening your self-confidence, you will approach interviews positively and convincingly to secure a firm job offer.

In this 2-hour (+30 minutes of Q&R offered) online workshop you will:

  • Know the different types or formats that networking may take according to the goals pursued.
  • Discover the two basic goals of networking when one is looking for a job: Either gathering information or looking for a job.
  • Prioritize the group(s) of people to approach to get the best information during the job-hunting process.
  • Discover the P.I.E. Method which seems to be the most efficient technique to structure a job-hunting process.
  • Find out the reasons why some people accept to welcome “Strangers” (they have never seen before.) and offer them half an hour of their time.
  • Have a very clear idea about the do's and don'ts of networking for information.
  • Understand why some people are much more successful than others when they network.
  • Know how to start networking when they don't know anyone in the field that they want to investigate.
  • And many other things!

This workshop is for you if you:
  • Want to clarify the positions and/or sectors you want to target.
  • Find it difficult to choose between all the positions and/or sectors that inspire you.
  • Want to discover and master a simple method for defining (dream) targets in niches you may never have thought of and/or jobs you are totally unaware of.
  • Have very little affinity for networking but are nevertheless convinced of its usefulness and necessity.
  • Wish to master a simple and efficient method (P.I.E.) to network in 15 places other than social cocktail parties.

This workshop will be led by Daniel Porot, an international expert in career management and job search, who will share his extensive experience with you.
