Online workshop: Navigating the Job Search Journey
N.B: This workshop will be held in English.
Whether it's your first transition into a professional role after your studies, a mid-career shift, or a reorientation phase later on, the job search process has become increasingly complex with social media, AI recruitment tools, evolving employer expectations and constantly changing job markets.
Though some sectors are booming while others stagnate, as an EPFL graduate you will always have strong market value. Yet you still need to identify your target roles and companies then customize your self-marketing tools and adapt your search methods to their recruitment strategies.
During this workshop, we will take an in-depth view of the following key areas in our online exploration of best practice approaches:
- Job Market Trends
- Recruitment Channels (e.g., application to a job posting, unsolicited application, tapping into the hidden job market, referrals, recruitment agencies/headhunters, etc.), and how to adapt one's job search to each
To a lesser extent, we will also cover:
- Crafting a Compelling CV and LinkedIn profile
- Preparing for Interviews
- The Importance of Networking, which reinforces the entire professional transition
In this interactive workshop, the emphasis will be on how you gain and maintain an edge on your competition, which should also increase your confidence throughout this demanding journey towards your future success!
A comprehensive set of practical handouts will be provided to registrants after the workshop for continued support and follow-up.
