CYSEC , Ecublens - CDI

De Juin 2024 à Janvier 2025

As the Lead Engineer for the SATLINK business unit at CYSEC, I spearheaded the development of a satellite data link security solution for the space sector.

• Management of a team of 5 engineers with software, security, and QA profiles.
• Roadmap and planning for a software solution to secure satellite data links.
• Engaged in business capture activities to expand opportunities in the space industry.
• Planned and executed project deployments and demos with prospects and partners.

Flight software engineer

CYSEC , Ecublens - CDI

De Janvier 2023 à Mai 2024

Brought my experience in flight software development for space applications to shape up and lead the design and development of SATLINK, a CCSDS-compliant space data link security solution, showcasing expertise in safety critical software development.

• Participated in the software design and development of SATLINK Ground (Rust) and SATLINK Space (C) through the development of features, code reviews, and architecture design.
• Acted as Scrum master and agile facilitator for the engineering team, fostering collaboration, self-organisation, and efficiency in the delivery of software increments.
• Successfully deployed an in-orbit demonstrator for SATLINK on OPS-SAT, highlighting project management skills.

Flight software engineer

ASTROCAST SA - CDI

De Septembre 2020 à Décembre 2022

Contributed to the development of Flight Software (FSW) and of Ground Support Equipment (GSE), and supported Astrocast's test campaigns using my academic background. Delivered technological increments for the next generation of Astrocast satellites through R&D efforts.

- Development of FSW on bare metal architectures (MSP430) under high memory constraints
- Designed the services driving mission critical nanosatellite electric propulsion
- Designed the internal communication protocols of Astrocast's next generation of satellites
- Maintained quality of the code base through Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Supported the development of software for GSE used in satellite testing and integration
- Led a radiation dosage test campaign for COTS components to success

Doctoral assistant

EPFL - ECOLE POLYTECHNIQUE FEDERALE DE LAUSANNE - CDD

De Décembre 2015 à Août 2020

As a PhD candidate to Prof. Yves Perriard at the Integrated Actuators Lab (LAI-EPFL), I have achieved original contributions to the multi-disciplinary research field of advanced self-sensing piezoelectric actuation for micro-robotic applications.

- Prototyping and production of state of the art self-sensing actuators.
- Engineering of test environments involving electronics, software and mechanical systems.
- Collaboration with a Swiss industrial partner in the context of a CTI / Innosuisse project.
- Editing and publication of high quality research journal articles and conference papers.
- Teaching activities on the subject of Electrical Engineering and Electrical Motors.

Scientific assistant

SWISS SPACE CENTER , Lausanne - CDD

De Octobre 2013 à Septembre 2015

Scientific Assistant at the EPFL Swiss Space Center (now Space Innovation Center). Implicated with Embedded Sofware and Systems engineering responsibilities in three satellite projects: CubETH, a student developed cubesat, SpaceCam, a payload for a Beihang University student satellite, and support for the QB50 project.

- Software development & continued improvement of the center's IDE and tools.
- Systems engineering responsibilities for various projects, with notable contributions in the design of a micro-satellite’s communication protocols.
- Embedded electronics design for on-board computers and data handling systems for micro-satellites and their payloads.
- Provided support and documentation to partners and members of the Swiss Space Center.
