Résumé

As a scientist my main interest has been to investigate the behaviour of different novel materials with potential for innovative technological applications. This has allowed me to gain expertise in the creation of new experimental tools, including the design of specialized measuring equipment and tailored micro-fabrication processes, as well as in computational simulations and customized numerical algorithms to analyse the resulting complex data. My experience as a member of research groups in different countries and multi-cultural environments has helped me develop the communication skills, in both writing and public speaking, necessary to collaborate effectively and share the results of my work. This has also allowed me to have very enriching experiences with students in my different roles as teaching assistant and supervisor of student projects. I enjoy learning new topics and I am eager to apply and expand my skills and knowledge to tackle new challenges.
